Cutting-edge Wireless Technology Demonstrated at AS3 in Las Vegas
CONTINUUM Applied Technology® uses Aviation Services and Suppliers SuperShow as platform to demonstrate wireless applications of CORRIDOR.
Already proven as a standard in the industry, CORRIDOR® Aviation Service Software is taking the next step - with no strings (or wires) attached. Wireless applications of CORRIDOR® are many. At the AS3 Show in Las Vegas, CONTINUUM Applied Technology® will demonstrate two wireless applications currently in development.
Wireless Fuel Trucks Through the use of CORRIDOR's folio system of managing line service and Contrec's wireless fuel truck meters, line service becomes more efficient. As the fuel is dispensed, all data surrounding the fuel transaction is sent wirelessly to computers within the facility to automatically create an "event" for the service in real time. Removing the paper delivery and manual entry of the data creates a more efficient means to track fuel sales.
Handheld Devices for Maintenance Shops and Line Services CORRIDOR® can also be applied wirelessly on maintenance shop floors. With a standard handheld device running CORRIDOR's wireless software application, a supervisor can view an updated shop schedule, track work by team member, view open orders for material and services, and edit a to-do list. Handheld applications will also extend to line service. Arrivals and departures and task lists will be viewed and edited in real time directly on the handheld device.
"We design CORRIDOR® to meet specific needs of the industry," explains Jack Demeis, President of CONTINUUM Applied Technology®. "The convenience and efficiency of handheld devices on shop floors and in the fuel areas is obvious, so the development of CORRIDOR® to work with this technology was inevitable."
These wireless applications of CORRIDOR® will be demonstrated along with extended presentations and demonstrations of CORRIDOR's enterprise and remote terminal services software in CONTINUUM's booth (#7029) at the AS3 Aviation Services and Suppliers Supershow in Las Vegas, NV.
