The Rental Management module enables the facility to closely track the location and status of all parts that have been sold on a rental basis. When the rental transaction is created in the Sales Order module a record of it is automatically created and displayed in the 'Parts Due' window of the Rental module. This Parts Due window corresponds with the Receiving module's 'Expected Receipt' window.
The Rental module functions much like CORRIDOR
®
does as a whole. Parts automatically enter the Rental module when the transaction is created. As the part transaction is satisfied it is pushed to the next step of the process and is displayed to the appropriate users so that they are able to complete the next step in the process. As the part travels through different inspections and re-certifications, the Rental module will drive this function and display that they must be performed in order to continue. Once processes like the re-certification or evaluation are completed and the part reaches its final destination, the Rental Module releases it to inventory to track the part and the part is removed from all Rental Management windows.
The facility is given the versatility to invoice the customer several times for the rental part. An up-front charge can be applied along with two additional opportunities. Charges incurred for re-certifications can be directly transferred to the customer as well.
