  • Set up your own warranty programs.
  • Sell parts under warranty.
  • Track and process warranty claims to your customer.

The Warranty Module provides a user the ability to sell parts on a Sales or Work Order on a warranty basis. There are several ways the part can be handled once it is part of a Warranty Program. The part can be accepted and the customer is given a new part, the part can be declined and the customer is able to have the part returned, repaired, purchased or scrapped, or the Warranty Program is canceled and handled like a standard part transaction.

When a warranty transaction is created an expected receipt is generated in the
Receiving Module and a Warranty Claim record is added to the 'Parts Due' tab of the Warranty Module. The part can be tracked through all steps of the warranty process until the transaction is complete.

At the time of receipt CORRIDOR
® assigns a Lot Number to the warranty part. The part can be received directly into Warranty Evaluation status. Once the part is received into Warranty Evaluation status, a determination can be made whether the part will be accepted into the Warranty Program. If the facility determines to decline the part into the Warranty Program, several options exist for disposition of the part. The part can be returned to the customer, disposed of, repaired and returned to the customer or purchased from the customer and added to inventory.
